How the ski pass for Chopok South works

The gondolas from Krupová and the chairlift from Srdiečko belong to the Jasná Nízke Tatry resort. The south side therefore has no separate price list. You buy a Jasná ski pass and ski with it on both the south and north sides of Chopok. The two sides join at the summit by the Rotunda, so you can set off from Krupová in the morning, ski above Biela Púť in the afternoon and return by gondola to the south.

Jasná sells ski passes at dynamic prices. The price changes with the date, the expected number of visitors and the weather, and it also differs depending on where you buy. The resort sums it up in one sentence: the sooner you buy, the better value your skiing. The cheapest is a ski pass bought in advance online on gopass.travel, dearer at the self-service Gopass Tickets machine and dearest at the ticket desk.

How much a ski pass cost in winter 2025/26

As of 2 October 2026 the resort had not yet published the price list for winter 2026/27, and the price calendar on the Jasná website so far shows only the past season. We therefore give examples from winter 2025/26 taken directly from the resort’s price list:

  • 10 February 2026 (spring school holidays), bought on the day: a 1-day adult ski pass €71 at the ticket desk, €69 at the machine and online.
  • On the same day at the ticket desk: 2 days €140, 3 days €207, 6 days €397.

The examples show how the prices work. If you buy online only on the morning before skiing, you save just a few euros compared with the ticket desk. If you buy a ski pass days or weeks ahead, you will usually pay noticeably less. Once your dates are confirmed, check the prices on Gopass straight away and do not wait until you arrive.

An afternoon ski pass is valid from 12:30 until the end of operation. In winter 2025/26 the lifts and tows ran from 8:30 to 15:30, and from 1 February until 16:00. Jasná has evening skiing only on the north side. On the south side you can ski in the evening at the smaller resorts of Mýto and Tále.

Gopass online, machine or ticket desk

Gopass is the sales system of the TMR (Tatry Mountain Resorts) resorts. You register on gopass.travel or in the Gopass app, buy a ski pass for a specific day, and in the morning you go straight to the turnstile. The ski pass is loaded onto a contactless Gopass chip card. On your first purchase you also pay a card fee, and the resort does not take the card back, so keep it for your next skiing.

At Krupová there is a client centre where you have the ticket desk, the Gopass Tickets machines and information in one place. According to the resort you can pay at the machines by card only. According to the Jasná website, the Krupová client centre is open daily from 8:00 to 15:30.

Buying online has one more advantage. A ski pass bought through Gopass can be cancelled or moved to another day for a fee, so if the forecast lets you down you do not lose the whole amount. The exact conditions are in the Gopass terms and conditions.

Jasná’s multi-day ski passes (2 to 6 days) are also valid at the resorts in the High Tatras. During their validity you can use one day, instead of skiing, for all-day entry to Tatralandia or Bešeňová (without the sauna and wellness world). You cannot combine an aqua park and skiing on the same day.

From 31 January 2026 a Horehronie ski pass was also sold. It is valid at Jasná - Chopok South and at the Mýto Ski & Bike resort in Mýto pod Ďumbierom. You can buy it online via Gopass or at the ticket desks of both resorts, and it is not valid for evening skiing.

Children, juniors and seniors

According to the resort’s terms and conditions for winter 2025/26:

  • children under 6 (up to 5.99 years) ski free, but only when accompanied by an adult over 18, at most 2 children per adult,
  • the Child ski pass is for ages 6 to 11.99 years,
  • the Junior ski pass is for ages 12 to 17.99 years and for holders of ISIC, ITIC, EURO26 and GO26 cards,
  • the Senior ski pass is from 60 years.

When buying online you enter the date of birth, and at the ticket desk you must show a health insurance card or other proof of age. Discounts cannot be combined.

With children it pays to start at Krupová. The Tatry Motion ski school with the MAXILAND learning area is here, and for winter 2025/26 a new area for the youngest with children’s tows was added. From Srdiečko to Krupová runs the blue piste 36a Hotelová, which the resort built for less able skiers and families with children.

Lifts from Krupová and Srdiečko

The main way up starts at Krupová (1,084 m above sea level). The two 15-seat gondolas Krupová - Kosodrevina and Kosodrevina - Chopok cover 920 m of vertical rise together, and each carries up to 2,800 people an hour. The upper station by the Rotunda is at 2,004 m, and the summit of Chopok is 2,024 m above sea level.

From Srdiečko (1,213 m) a chairlift leads up to Kosodrevina. The south side also has the tow lifts Krupová - Srdiečko and Kosodrevina - Lúčka, a short tow at Krupová and a tow at Zadné Dereše that lifts skiers from 1,470 m all the way to 1,970 m.

Lift operation depends on the weather, and at the top of Chopok mainly on the wind. Check the lift status, webcams and weather on jasna.sk or in the Gopass app in the morning. When the ridge is windy, you can ski lower down around Kosodrevina and Srdiečko.

Parking at Krupová and Srdiečko

According to the resort’s car park overview (winter 2025/26):

  • Krupová: 520 spaces, €10 a day, €7 after scanning the QR code from the parking ticket in the Gopass app or on gopass.travel,
  • Srdiečko: 100 spaces, also €10 and €7 with the Gopass discount,
  • Trangoška: 100 spaces, €5 a day.

Season pass holders park free at Krupová and Srdiečko. At weekends and on holidays arrive early in the morning, especially at Srdiečko with its hundred spaces.

The road to Krupová is a mountain road. In winter, count on winter tyres and keep snow chains in the car. Srdiečko is a little higher up, and the road to it continues from Krupová in hairpin bends.

Getting there from Bystrá

By car you drive from Bystrá up the Bystrá valley via Tále, a few minutes. You will find the exact distance and time in the box above.

Without a car you can take the Horehronie ski bus. In winter 2025/26 it ran daily from 20 December 2025 to 11 January 2026 and from 14 February to 8 March 2026, and at weekends in between. With the Horehronie Card you ride it free. The morning service from the Bystrá, Hotel Bystrá stop left at 8:44 and reached Krupová at 9:07, and the last one back left Krupová at 15:45. The timetable for winter 2026/27 has not been published yet.
