What Tarzania Tále is
Tarzania is a network of rope parks in Slovakia; in 2026 the operator listed nine. The Tále park was the third one. It is in the Tále resort by Hotel Partizán, on the site of the minigolf course. Right next to it is a natural swimming pond, and the golf course is nearby.
A rope park is a course of rope obstacles hung high up in trees or on artificial posts. In Tále there are 23 of them, about 5 to 7 m above the ground. Besides the main route, the park also has a low children’s route, so it is worth coming with smaller children too.
The operator describes it as a proper dose of adrenaline and a mild dose of physical effort. There are no carousels or rides; it is movement at height in which you use your arms, legs and head. For children who like climbing it is a good afternoon programme, together with the minigolf on the site. Adults can do the route with them or watch from the ground.
Routes and prices
The operator publishes the prices on the park’s website. You pay in cash only.
| Route | Length | Price | For whom |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red | 292 m | €16 | from 150 cm |
| Blue | 180 m | €12 | from 150 cm |
| Children’s | 90 m | €8 | children under 150 cm |
| Minigolf | - | €5 | everyone |
The red route is longer, the blue shorter. If you are climbing for the first time or are nervous of heights, start with the blue. To give you an idea of the time: according to the offer for schools, a group of 25 pupils gets round the park in about 2 hours. A small family with fewer people on the route will usually be quicker; it depends on your pace and on whether anyone hesitates at an obstacle.
For a family with two children, one taller and one shorter than 150 cm, the red route for three people and the children’s route for one child come to €56. Have your cash ready before you set off.
Height and age of children
Tarzania sets the limit not by age but by height. For the main route you must be at least 150 cm tall. Children who are smaller take the children’s route.
The children’s route has the same types of obstacles, only low above the ground. A parent can walk alongside the child and help. Children on the children’s route are also secured against falling to the ground throughout.
It is a good idea to measure your child before the visit. If they are just under 150 cm, count on them not being allowed on the red or blue route. That way you avoid disappointment at the ticket desk.
How the climb works
The instructors give you a briefing at the start and equip you with the compulsory gear. Along the whole route you are secured with a safety rope, so there is no danger of falling to the ground. The route runs through the treetops, and anyone who meets the height limit and has no problem with heights can really try it.
The first obstacles are usually where you find out whether heights bother you. If someone finds it is not for them, tell the instructor.
When to go
Tarzania Tále is seasonal. According to the schedule on the park’s website (as of 2 October 2026) it is open as follows:
- May: weekends and public holidays only, 10:00 to 15:00,
- June: weekends and public holidays only, 10:00 to 16:00,
- July and August: every day 9:30 to 18:00,
- September: weekends and public holidays only, 9:30 to 16:00,
- October to April: closed.
The operator writes that you can try Tarzania in summer and in winter, but according to the schedule the Tále park does not operate in winter. Outside the main season, remember that it is closed on working days. If you come to us for a week in June or September, plan Tarzania for a Saturday or Sunday, or a public holiday. In July and August it is simplest: it is open every day. The operator announces exceptional closures for technical reasons directly on the park’s website, so look there before you set off.
Climbing at height is not an activity for a thunderstorm or a downpour. If the weather is uncertain, call +421 907 585 007 before you leave. If it rains all day, choose something under a roof instead, for example Bystrianska Cave or the Hotel Bystrá wellness.
For schools, clubs and groups
Tarzania has a separate offer for schools, sports clubs, hobby groups and youth organisations. For every 10 pupils, one teacher enters free. The offer applies only on certain days and at certain hours and is booked through a form on the website, where you choose the park, confirm the children’s height and select the date and time. Groups too are subject to the rule that only pupils over 150 cm may take the adult route, and the rest take the children’s route. Companies can book the park for their own date.
Getting there from Bystrá
Tále is a holiday resort a little above the village of Bystrá. The rope park is by Hotel Partizán, on the minigolf site next to the natural swimming pond. From Bosorka Apartments it is a few minutes by car; you will find the route and distance in the box above. The operator gives the GPS coordinates 48.871916, 19.600879.
The nearest bus stop is called Tále, hotel Partizán.
What to bring
- Cash; you cannot pay by card.
- Sturdy sports shoes. Sandals and flip-flops are not suitable for rope obstacles.
- Comfortable clothes that can get dirty or snag on the bark.
- A hair tie for long hair.
- A bottle of water; it is warm on the route in summer.
- For those who stay on the ground, something to sit on, or money for the minigolf.
What to combine it with
The minigolf is right on the site and suits those who stay on the ground, or for waiting while the others finish the route. In summer you can cool off after climbing at the natural swimming pond next door. If someone in the family plays golf, the Gray Bear course is also in Tále, and beginners can try golf at the public training session.
